OVERALL:

A nice sardine aroma upon opening. Unable to determine the amount of fish in the tin, fish are extremely soft, almost mushy due to the vinegar (why they discontinued this line) No strong flavors or after, I can't even detect any vinegar flavor. Nettles seem to be there for appearance, don't get much more out of them.  I ate half the tin: with my nine-year-old finishing off the tin commenting on how great they are and wishing they still made these. A good tin of fish. lacking in texture but not flavor. 5 sardines.

A very faint spice aroma upon opening. Three plump fish to the tin. Bay leaf flavor hits you on the first bite, A subtle sour note follows. No strong fish taste or after; a sweet under-note does linger. A slightly dry fish yet meaty. I would eat again. 3 Sardines.

Vinegar aroma upon opening. Pepper seeds lat atop the fish (always a good sign) four plump fish to the tin. Vinegar flavor is present on the first bite. Heat slowly creeps up, then hits you with a burst of flavor. A nice heat; heat is evenly distributed throughout the fish. No strong fish taste or after. Would eat again. 4 Sardines.
