A faint smoke aroma hits you upon opening. Four medium, patchy fish to the tin. Fish have a firm texture, hold shape very well while removing from tin.. . A faint fish taste hits you one moment then gone the next. Not spiny, a decent tin. I will eat again 5 sardines

A faint oil aroma upon opening. Three plump fish to this tin. (Four on average) A meaty, firm fish, a very subtle heat that's followed by a subtle smoke flavor is present. Both balance out nicely. A clean-tasting fish with no strong fish flavors or aftertaste. Salt is noticeable. Would eat again. 5 Sardines.

Surprised to see these get such a low rating! I've been doing side-by-side sardine tastings lately - the Iberian Peninsula tasting was between Bela, Matiz Gallego and Angelo Parodi. I thought Bela was the best of the three! I loved the smoke flavor.
