Three plump, scaled fish to the tin. A faint, almost undetectable oil aroma upon opening. A meaty fish. No strong fishy taste or after. Salt is noticed in this tin, does not overtake the fish, nor does the oil. A medium-textured fish. A mild-tasting fish. Would eat again. 3 1/2 sardines.

OVERALL:
No aroma upon opening, four medium fish to the tin. A sweet taste hits you on the first bite. A firm-textured fish, the fish becomes dry as you eat it. A watery sauce with an almost metal aftertaste. (Crackers really helps this tin out) A fish flavor is present, with a lingering fish aftertaste; almost feel as if i'm eating fresh cut bait is what the aftertaste reminds me of. Probably wouldn't eat again. 1 Sardine.

No aroma upon opening. A generous amount of ginger is present, with five fish to the tin. A soft textured fish. A rush of ginger and salt hits you on the first bite. The soybean oil reminds me more of water than oil, with the bland taste and thinness of the liquid. This tin reminds me of canned breakfast sausage. A spiny fish. The tin may be better with rice or even eggs. I may eat again. 1 1/2 sardines.

The sauce does not overpower the fish balances out well. Heat slowly creeps up after several bites. A medium textured fish, no strong taste or after. The heat lingers afterward, a mild heat. Not a spiny fish. 5 sardines.

OVERALL:
