OVER ALL:
Slight oil aroma upon opening. Six round, medium fish to the tin. A good textured fish; no fishy taste or after taste. A tad on the dry side. A well balanced flavor. Fish posses a canned tuna taste to it; better than any canned tuna I've ever had. I will be eating these again. Local Big Lots had these. For a dollar a tin, they can't be beat. 5 Sardines

Drew...seen your review of these and took a jaunt to the local Big Lots. Wow...savory neutral flavor with no bitter after taste(actually a little sweet on the back end). Amazing profile for a tin of fish that costs a dollar...best bang for the buck(literally) in the business...was so impressed I went back and bought out their stock
ReplyDeleteThanx my man
These are a great deal. A really good tasting tin of fish. If you have a Big Lots store in town it's worth the trip to grab a stack of these.
DeleteGlad I could be of assistance. I did the same, I ended up with 54 tins of these. Keep popping-
DeleteThese were the sardines we ate when I was little! They stopped carrying them in the grocery stores in our area, and I've been trying to find something similar. I found them a couple years ago at a big import grocery store, but never again. Glad to see they still exist, hope I come across them again someday!
ReplyDeleteThese sardines are really delicious. Where can I purchase them? Jewel food use to carry this brand. They are a hard act to follow. I live in Chicago help please.
