A oil aroma hits you upon opening. Three plump, scaled fish to the tin; a faint smoke flavor hits you on first bite, not an overpowering smoke flavor, it compliments the fish very well. Scales not noticeable.  Not a spiny fish; bones are very visible; a roe filled fish(roe not noticeable in taste) Salt is very detectable in this tin. A very good textured fish; holds it's shape well  Oil flavor not over powering, hardly detectable. I would eat again. 5 Sardines.

    1. Sounds like a great combo! I picked these up at a Middle Eastern market in Columbia, SC. They have closed since then. A real good tin of fish.

    2. I too get mine from a local Middle Eastern market in Michigan but they are $1.49. Still worth it at that price, a great can of sardines. The variety w/ chili pepper are the perfect level of heat.
