Scales are not noticeable. Not a spiny fish; bones are very visible; a roe-filled fish(roe not noticeable in taste) Salt is very detectable in this tin. A very good textured fish; holds its shape well Oil flavor not overpowering, hardly detectable. I would eat again. 5 Sardines.
