Hopefully you'll eventually try the brands listed below because they are all good in their own way. Still cannot beat Pinhais though.

Ati Manel, Jupiter, Berthe (worst of all those listed here, yet still good), Nazarena, Acor, Pescarias, Fides, Good boy, Valflor, Sardinha, Tenorio, Bom Petisco, Santa Catarina, Briosa.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3937540923760272145.post-33048414427662833912017-02-05T01:34:31.641-05:002017-02-05T01:34:31.641-05:00they are very tasty!they are very tasty!Drewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18415841307642679275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3937540923760272145.post-77919210544468647082017-02-03T12:26:23.002-05:002017-02-03T12:26:23.002-05:00the spiced 90 gram cans are exactly as you describ...the spiced 90 gram cans are exactly as you described them Drew...'mouth orgasm'...they're pricey but IMO they are worth every penny...I agree with Rick West, Conservas Pinhais are the best sardines...pure nirvanaToecutterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09646827363304594594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3937540923760272145.post-58437040603386800552015-12-10T09:48:04.580-05:002015-12-10T09:48:04.580-05:00" la gondola"." la gondola". Tomato packed ones are always a gamble, some watery, to bland, to just pure rancid. Then there are the ones that leave me wanting more. The extra tins of Mabuti I had I finished off ether on toast or in a dish a sorts; had they been rated that way, they would of received a 5. But I only rate straight from the tin. Keep popping those tins!Drewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18415841307642679275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3937540923760272145.post-23285304222723419342015-12-09T18:01:24.564-05:002015-12-09T18:01:24.564-05:00The shallow tin is also used by Pinhais for the Ma...The shallow tin is also used by Pinhais for the Mabuti brand in olive oil and tomato sauce. I understand they are very popular in the philipines. They are excellent as well. I was surprised to see you only rated them 4 sardines.I have noticed you are not crazy about tomato packed ones but I could live on them.
