Sardines (Sardina Pilchardus) 75%, Water, Tomato Concentrate 10%, Sunflower Oil, Piri-Piri 1% and salt

OVER ALL:
A faint tomato aroma upon opening. Two large, scaled fish to the tin. A very dry fish; sauce is a tad on the tangy side. A roe filled fish; fish has a chewy consistency to it. Heat is very subtle, almost undetectable. Scales not noticeable, not a spiny fish. I wouldn't eat again, alone. 3 sardines.

A very faint, almost undetectable lemon aroma upon opening. Three plump, scaled fish to the tin. Lemon flavor hits you on first bite, a well balanced flavor, not to strong. A meaty fish, a good textured fish, soft-medium. Fish holds it's shape well, no strong taste or after. Not a spiny fish. A subtle lemon flavor lingers. Salt is noticeable in this tin. I would eat again. 4 1/2 sardines.

PRICE:

A very faint tomato aroma upon opening. Two large, scaled fish to the tin; scales are noticeable. A roe filled fish, not a spiny fish, a faint, watery tomato sauce is detected on first bite. Fish is a tad on the dry side, a meaty fish; fish lacks flavor. salt is detectable. I may would eat again. 2 Sardines.

  1. To me the Lemon sounds the most interesting. I don't believe I've ever seen a lemon sardine tin. I LOVE lemon on fish, so it seems a natural.
